Everyone, please take note that PMUG has changed to a new Post Office Box.  It is still at the same Post Office, but is just a bit smaller.   The new box number is  8948, just one number changed.  So if you have any cards or Mouse Tracks that you hand out, please change PO Box 8949 to PO Box 8948.  That also changes the ZIP+4, if you use it, to 97207-8948.

Space is limited, so reserve your seat today.

Presentation on simple website design tools
Feb 9th, 2010 by allenw

Back in October, 2008, I gave a presentation at the general meeting on “Building Your Own Website.” Last night at the general meeting, someone asked me to post my presentation slides, since they wanted to make use of some of the information there. The slides are merely an outline; some of the presentation was live demos of various software, and that can’t be posted but, for what they are worth, I’m posting my slides.

Here’s the link to the presentation on Slideshare:

Electric Sheep Access Via Web Page
Jan 23rd, 2010 by jdevore

Most people log on to The Electric Sheep by using the FirstClass software. However if you want to check your Sheep email from a public computer, you can access the Sheep server through a web link.

From your web browser go to this link http://cafe.pmug.org/Login/

Enter your Electric Sheep login and password in the dropdown window. Please note, this access can be much slower than directly through FirstClass.

Welcome to the new PMUG.org!
Jan 11th, 2010 by sriggins

Welcome to the new PMUG.org website!

Thanks to the hard work of members such as Marty Crouch, Connie Wynn, Joan Pinkert, Allen Watson, Peren Bjork and others, we now have a brand new WordPress based home.

The new site affords features such as:

  1. Information about PMUG will be updated more often
  2. You can track PMUG information via popular RSS feeds (That little RSS icon in your Safari address bar)
  3. Better organization of website content

and much more coming in the future, such as connecting PMUG.org to social networks like Twitter or Facebook.

Not all of the information on the old PMUG.org site is available yet, so if you’re looking for something that you can’t find here, try this link to the old site.

Please let us know what you think!
