A website must have content! Gathering content and preparing it in some way for the webmaster is a valuable service that can be done by any volunteer member. Currently, content managers are needed in the following areas:

This is a critical position on the pmug.org team because it helps us avoid "Link Rot" and gives us a polished, professional appearance.

There is both an immediate need and an on-going need for a Mac links Page Content Manager. Our current Mac links page needs an immediate cleanup. Currently listed links must be organized, verified as active, and a brief description written.

The MLPCM's responsibilities include discovering new, active links to add to our links page, creating a brief description of the site. In addition, an audit of all Mac and member links would be done quarterly to verify all links are active. The webmaster would be notified of changes that need to be made...

These pages don't exist yet but we envision having a page (or more) where we feature some of our talented members' projects such as animation, Flash, Quicktime movies, images, etc. The TPCM would solicit these contributions and make sure the webmaster has complete information about the author and the contribution, as well as the actual file.
